Citizens Financial Group, Inc. honors colleagues during 16th celebration of Colleague Appreciation Week
120 colleagues with 25 years of service honored with bricks that become a permanent part of One Citizens Plaza
Providence, R.I. (September 14, 2009) - Citizens Financial Group, Inc. is hosting its 16th annual Colleague Appreciation Week from September 14 to 18, 2009. Colleague Appreciation Week is held at Citizens each year to recognize the efforts of the company’s colleagues. Providence Mayor David Cicilline joined Citizens’ executives at this event recognizing colleagues.
The week began with Citizens’ 11th annual Brick Dedication on Monday, September 14 at Citizens’ headquarters, One Citizens Plaza in Providence. This year, 120 colleagues and retirees with 25 years of service with the company will have their names inscribed on bricks that will be installed in the plaza as a permanent part of the Citizens history. Rhode Island colleague William Field is celebrating his 50th anniversary with the company and received a special second brick at the ceremony to mark this occasion.
“Colleague Appreciation Week recognizes the commitment our colleagues have to our customers, each other and the community,” said Ellen Alemany, Chairman and CEO of Citizens Financial Group and RBS Americas. “This is a special time to celebrate our colleagues for their hard work and dedication, and to recognize their significant contribution and value to the Citizens family.”
This year’s theme for the week – “Taking the Time to Thank You” – is being complemented by a week full of activities and events. Colleagues in Rhode Island will enjoy events such as community service projects, games and themed days.
