Funds support small-business management assistance in greater Nashua

Manchester, N.H. (April 11, 2012) - The Citizens Bank Foundation has announced it is providing a $15,000 grant to the New Hampshire Small Business Development Center (NH SBDC) to support management assistance and educational programs for new and growing small businesses in greater Nashua.

The foundation’s grant enables the NH SBDC’s certified business advisors to provide 30 local businesses with one-on-one management assistance at no charge. Advisors offer expertise on a wide variety of topics ranging from business management and financial analysis to access to capital and loan packaging.

“Given the importance of this sector in our economy and our own commitment to small business, we are pleased to support these programs that will help small businesses gain access to financial and educational resources,” said Joe Carelli, President, Citizens Bank, New Hampshire. “The NH Small Business Development Center has a proven track record of helping small businesses plan, grow and succeed. We are happy to support their efforts.

“Building strong, innovative companies helps the New Hampshire economy, and we applaud the Citizens Bank Foundation for its vision for community and economic development,” said Mary Collins, state director, NH SBDC. “We are pleased to continue NH SBDC’s long-term relationship with Citizens Bank Foundation through this grant for services to the Nashua region.”
