Computerworld Names Citizens Financial Group a 2011 “Honors Laureate”

Award recognizes accessMOBILE, Citizens’ breakthrough corporate mobile banking application

Providence, R.I. (July 21, 2011) - Citizens Financial Group has been cited as a 2011 Computerworld Honors Laureate for accessMOBILE, its breakthrough corporate mobile banking application.

Through accessMOBILE’s easy-to-use and intuitive interface, Citizens Bank and Charter One cash management and commercial customers can approve pending transactions, view account history and transaction details, get current-day snapshots, perform intra-company funds transfers and receive alerts and bank mail wherever they are located – all from their mobile devices and in a secure environment.

Computerworld named Citizens an Honors Laureate in the "Business Responsiveness" category, which recognizes the innovative use of information technology to improve business responsiveness to customer needs, the business environment or business challenges.

"Innovation is almost a buzz word today, but not at Citizens. We are committed to making innovation work for our clients 24/7, and we are proud to have received this recognition from Computerworld," says Prabhat Vira, Head of Global Transaction Services Americas, Citizens Financial Group, who led the development initiative for accessMOBILE. "We use extensive research in order to listen to our customers. They tell us they want cash management to be easier, more flexible and more accessible. With accessMOBILE, we are marshalling the power of mobile technology to benefit our business customers."

The Computerworld Honors Program, now in its 23rd year, recognizes those organizations that create and use information technology to promote and advance the public welfare, benefit society and change the world for the better.

accessMOBILE is one in a series of "access"-branded offerings Citizens has developed specifically for the ease-of-use, flexibility and accessibility of banking functions for businesses. These products provide customers with 24/7 access – whenever and wherever they prefer – to the financial information they need to run their businesses better and more efficiently.
