Jo-Ann Harrington is latest Citizens Bank Community Service Sabbatical recipient
Three-month paid leave is benefiting Crossroads Rhode IslandProvidence, RI (November 15, 2006) - Jo-Ann Harrington, manager of the Citizens Bank Rumford branch in Rhode Island, has been named this year's recipient of the company's newest three-month Community Service Sabbatical. Harrington began her sabbatical, a three-month paid leave of absence, on November 6th at Crossroads Rhode Island in Providence, the largest homeless services organization. Harrington returns to Citizens in February.
Harrington is assisting the social service director assessing the client intake process, client services and client satisfaction. Jo-Ann will also be working directly with clients and staff to create a more customer friendly intake process. In addition, Harrington is also working in the Copy Center, a micro-business within Crossroads that provides vocational training opportunities and job placement for the agency's clients.

Citizens’ Community Service Sabbatical program enables a company employee with three or more years of service to work full-time in the community for three months and bring back to the workplace a greater appreciation of the social needs and challenges in the community at-large. To date, 48 colleagues have been sent into their communities since the program started twelve years ago.
