Citizens also distributing 100 Fast Lane transponders in its commitment to convenienceBOSTON (September 21, 2007) - Citizens Bank today announced that it will distribute 30,000 complimentary maps of Massachusetts on September 24 from 6 to 9 a.m. to travelers at select toll booths on the Massachusetts Turnpike and the Sumner and Ted Williams tunnels. In addition, travelers who receive maps at the toll booths will have a chance to win one of 100 free Fast Lane transponders, a value of $30.55.
The maps of Massachusetts are in full color (see attached). They include a list of Citizens Bank branches throughout the state, historical points of interest in Boston and general information about the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority, including helpful telephone numbers and Web sites.
“Citizens Bank is committed to convenience,” said Robert E. Smyth, President, Citizens Bank, Massachusetts. “We are pleased to make these maps available to turnpike commuters and the traveling public in time for fall foliage, when families and people of all ages travel throughout Massachusetts and New England to enjoy this popular autumn activity.”
The maps will be distributed at the following toll booths on September 24:
• Weston / Rt. 128 / I-95 (Interchange 14)
• Allston / Brighton (Interchange 18-20)
• Sumner Tunnel (Interchange 30)
• Ted Williams Tunnel
As an added convenience, 270,000 complimentary maps will be available throughout the fall at tourist and Fast Lane centers.
The tourist centers along the Mass. Pike that will offer maps are:
• Charlton, eastbound, mile marker 80.39
• Charlton, westbound, mile marker 80.39
• Lee, Allan R. McKinnon Tourist Information Center, eastbound, mile marker 8.53

Vouchers for free Fast Lane transponders courtesy of Citizens Bank will be attached to 100 maps and randomly distributed to commuters at select toll booths. The Fast Lane transponder enables commuters to drive through specially-marked toll booths eliminating the wait time and need to pay cash for the cost of tolls.
“This is a great opportunity to give our patrons an added benefit without an added cost, and we thank Citizens for their participation,” said Turnpike Executive Director Mary Jane O’Meara. “The Turnpike is dedicated to utilizing opportunities like this one to maximize customer service.”
