Citizens Bank declares Customer Appreciation Day, December 14

Philadelphia-area branches offering food and refreshments to thank customers

PHILADELPHIA  (December 11, 2007) - Citizens Bank announced today that Friday, December 14, 2007 will be Customer Appreciation Day in all Philadelphia-area branches.  As part of the celebration, customers visiting a Citizens Bank branch in the eight-county Philadelphia region on December 14 will be treated to food and refreshments.

“This is our way of thanking customers who have helped make Citizens Bank what it is today,” said Peg Marty, Executive Vice President, Retail Banking at Citizens Bank. “We value our customers and wanted to find a warm and genuine way of showing our appreciation.”

As part of its Credo or company culture, Citizens Bank focuses on providing outstanding customer service, demonstrating a deep commitment to its employees and providing effective grassroots community support. With 185 branches, Citizens Bank has the largest number of branches open seven days a week in the Philadelphia area.

“We are always looking for ways to thank our customers,” said Marty. “Our colleagues actually requested that we hold a Customer Appreciation Day during this holiday season because they felt it was important to let our customers know how proud we are to serve them and be a part of their lives.”
