What's the difference between a Debit Card and an ATM Card?
A Citizens Bank Debit Card is accepted at millions of merchant locations worldwide that accept the Visa Debit Card. It's more secure than a check and more convenient that cash. Purchases come directly from your checking account but in the event your card is ever lost or stolen, your money is safe. You can also use your Debit Card to withdraw cash from millions of ATMs worldwide.
An ATM card can be used to access cash at an ATM and if your card is tied to a checking account, you can make purchases anywhere you can use your PIN to complete the transaction.
*Visa® Zero Liability policy covers U.S.-issued cards only and does not apply to ATM transactions, PIN transactions not processed by Visa, or certain commercial card transactions. Cardholder must notify issuer promptly of any unauthorized use. Consult issuer for additional details or visit www.visa.com/security/.
