The Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank), the official export credit agency, provides federally guaranteed financing and risk management programs to support U.S. exporters. The Ex-Im Bank encourages U.S. export growth by providing credit insurance to support loans directly to exporters, and by supporting importers located abroad in financing the purchase of services and manufactured goods from American companies.
We support companies large and small in accessing Ex-Im Bank programs. If your company currently exports goods and services or wishes to do so, a Global Trade Finance Specialist can help you determine your qualifications for these programs and assist in the application process.
- Ex-Im Bank Guarantees: The Ex-Im Bank can guarantee Citizens Commercial Banking 85% of the capital it lends to you, which may result in lower loan-related expenses.
- Short Term and Medium Term Export Credit Insurance: These programs reduce export risks by insuring the value of your foreign receivables to foreign buyers in the event that a buyer fails to pay due to unforeseen commercial or political reasons. Your Global Trade Finance Specialist can work with you to obtain insurance from private providers or the Ex-Im Bank itself.
- Working Capital Guarantee Program: This program provides a line of credit to provide working capital needed to facilitate single or multiple export transactions. We can lend up to $5 million from the Ex-Im Bank for this program, with the Ex-Im Bank guaranteeing 90% of the credit risk. This enables companies to borrow more at lower costs.
