Partnering with New York Road Runners on the marathon reflects Citizens’ commitment to every NYC borough and neighborhood. And so on one of the city’s most defining days, Citizens is honored to join New Yorkers across every community to support and celebrate the marathon athletes’ unmatched spirit.
As a Foundation Partner of the TCS NYC Marathon, Citizens will go the extra mile before the race even starts on November 2. During the pre-race expo, attendees can visit our interactive Citizens booth and the nearby Citizens Stage — where live panels and information sessions will feature professional athletes, running experts and special guests from the local community.
On Marathon Sunday, more than 150 colleagues, customers and local partners will represent Team Citizens in the 2025 TCS New York City Marathon. Meanwhile, our team of colleague volunteers will provide encouragement, refreshments and more at Citizens’ dedicated Cheer Zones located near miles 12 in Brooklyn and 16 in Manhattan. We look forward to sharing this iconic NYC moment with everyone!
Recognizing champions who make a difference in NYC
What defines a champion? While only a few marathoners will make it to the podium on Nov. 2, others will continue to make a lasting impact far beyond the finish line. This year, we're thrilled to team up with NYRR for the inaugural Citizens Miles That Matter Award — a celebration of New Yorkers whose inspiring journeys, both on the marathon course and in their communities, embody the true heart and hustle of the city.
The inaugural award-winners will each receive a $26,200 grant to boost their fundraising for a NYRR Official Charity:
