Aunoy Banerjee joined Citizens Financial Group, Inc. as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer in October 2025. Banerjee is also a member of the Citizens Executive Committee. He has responsibility for the Financial Planning and Analysis, Business Line Finance Groups, Controller, Investor Relations, Treasury, Tax, Capital Management functions, as well as Property & Procurement.
Prior to joining Citizens, Banerjee served as CFO of Barclays Bank PLC, where he led a large, global, multifunctional team supporting multiple lines of business, including U.S. Consumer, Global Corporate and Investment Banking, and Private Bank and Wealth Management.
Banerjee brings more than 25 years of experience in financial services. Before his time at Barclays, he spent eight years at State Street, where he held a series of increasingly responsible finance and transformation roles. Banerjee also spent 11 years at Citi in multiple leadership roles.
Banerjee holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Rochester Simon School of Business and a Bachelor of Science from St. Stephen's College at the University of Delhi. Banerjee received his post graduate diploma in Management from S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research in Mumbai, India.
