Chris Emerson joined Citizens Financial Group, Inc. in January 2016 and is the interim Chief Financial Officer. Chris has responsibility for our Financial Planning, Controller, Investor Relations, Strategy and Corporate Development, Treasury, business line finance, and Property and Procurement groups.
Most recently, Chris served as the head of Corporate Planning and Enterprise Finance where he had responsibility for the franchise-wide Financial Planning and Analysis for Citizens, as well as the Strategic Planning and Annual Budgeting processes. Prior to that, Chris served as the CFO for Citizens' Consumer Bank division.
Before joining Citizens, Chris held finance leadership roles in several banks, including Capital One in Virginia, Barclays Bank in London and Citigroup's Citi Cards division in New York City. Prior to working in Financial Services, Chris was a Consultant for the Boston Consulting Group in New York, and he started his career as an officer in the United States Air Force.
Chris holds an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania, and a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University.
