Champions in Action

Championing change in the community requires hard work and dedication. We think efforts like that deserve recognition.

Questions?Ask a Citizen.

At Citizens Bank, we're dedicated to helping the communities around us thrive. To address the social challenges these communities face, we created the Champions in Action program — a unique initiative designed to reward the nonprofit organizations that work so hard to champion change in our communities.

"The Champions in Action program impacted our organization in both tangible and intangible ways. The funding and exposure allowed us to expand our reach and serve greater numbers of Philadelphia students at a time when the need for our services has never been greater."
– Joan Mazzotti, Executive Director, Philadelphia Futures

How You Can Help

Our Champions in Action are shining examples of dedication and determination in community outreach. And they look to community members, like you, to come forward and lend a hand.

Our current Champions in Action are being honored for their commitment to Addiction Prevention & Treatment Services. If you'd like to learn more, please visit our current Champions in Action for more information.

Become a Champion in Action

If you are a nonprofit organization that deserves recognition for its contribution to the community, you could be a candidate for our Champions in Action program. Chosen organizations will receive:

  • Unrestricted funds from Citizens Bank
  • Local media coverage
  • Volunteer support from Citizens Bank
  • Opportunity to tap into the expertise of our local-executives through the Executive Mentoring program
  • Public relations support
  • Promotional support, including advertising in Citizens Bank branches and on Citizens Bank ATMs

"The NH Preservation Alliance is still enjoying the benefits of CIA three years after being selected and know that will continue for some time. The combination of funds, coaching and media visibility offered a critical boost to increase investment in special places, improve understanding or benefits and expand our base of support."
– Jennifer Goodman , Executive Director, NH Preservation Alliance
