Parent Refinancing Student Loans

To be eligible to refinance your parent student loans, including Parent PLUS loans, you must:

  • Have at least $10,000 in parent student loans to refinance
  • Be a U.S. Citizen, permanent resident, or resident alien with a valid U.S. Social Security number

Parent student loans can be refinanced with a minimum balance of $10,000 and maximum limit of $500,000. You may also combine your private parent student loans and Federal Direct PLUS Loan into one loan with one convenient payment each month.

Variable Rates: May help you get a low rate and monthly payment with an interest rate that changes monthly, and monthly payments that will vary over time.

Fixed Rates: Provide an interest rate that remains the same over the life of your loan and your monthly payments do not change.
