Automatic Payment Disclosure

The automatic payment service drafts your scheduled payment from your bank account.

In this agreement, "we", "us", "our" and "Citizens" means Citizens Bank, N.A. and all associated Citizens Bank, N.A. brand names. "You" and "your" means each person, or, if applicable, the entity who is an owner, signer, or has unrestricted withdrawal rights of a deposit account or, as applicable, a borrower under a credit account.

By submitting this payment request, you authorize Citizens to initiate electronic payment withdrawal(s) from the Payment Method Account to credit the Home Loan Account you selected. These withdrawals will occur on the draft date you specify.

You authorize and request your financial institution to honor debit entries initiated by Citizens to the Home Loan Account provided.

Sufficient funds must be available in your Payment Method Account at the time we initiate your payment draft. If there are insufficient funds in your Payment Method Account to cover the payment amount, you understand that you may be charged fees by your financial institution. If your payment is returned for insufficient funds after our first attempt, we'll try a second time. If your bank returns the payment after we attempt the second draft, the payment will be reversed from your account and fees may be assessed, as permitted by law. If you have insufficient funds more than two times while you're enrolled in recurring payments, we may terminate this agreement.

You understand this authorization in no way alters our rights or your obligations under your account agreement regarding the amount of payments, when payments are due, the application of payments, assessment of late charges or other fees, or the determination of delinquencies or remedies. We reserve the right to terminate this agreement for any reason and will notify you accordingly.

Recurring Payments

Recurring payments will commence on the first effective recurring payment date and continue on the specified draft date until your account is paid in full or you provide us cancellation within the required timeframe. If you wish to change or cancel your recurring payment request, you must notify us five (5) or more business days before the scheduled withdrawal by contacting us. If you are a consumer, you also have the right to reach out to your financial institution that holds your account at least 3 business days before the scheduled date of the withdrawal to request a stop payment. If your draft date falls on a weekend or holiday, your payment will be deducted on the next business day after the draft date shown.

You agree that any recurring payment amount will be equal to the total home loan payment, or the applicable portion of the total home loan payment if enrolled in a flexible payment option, plus the additional principal amount (if applicable) every month. You understand any past due payments and fees may not be satisfied by recurring payments. The total amount drafted will automatically update if your payment changes due to rate adjustments or changes to escrow items, such as your property taxes and/or insurance, if applicable.

If your loan balance is less than your scheduled auto draft payment, the payment will not draft. You'll receive a letter prior to the draft date advising you of alternate payment options.

If your loan becomes delinquent, your payment will not draft until the loan is current. You'll need to make your payment by another method in order to bring your loan current.

If your loan is prepaid (meaning your next payment isn't due for two months or more), we won't draft a payment until you have a payment due.

If you'd like to change or cancel your auto draft, visit citizensbankonline.com or go to our mobile app. You can also send your request in writing by fax to 888.999.2409 or mail to the address below, or give us a call at 800.234.6002. Please allow a minimum of 5 business days to process your request from the day we receive it.
