This Agreement, together with your Cardholder Agreement and any amendments thereto ("Agreement"), governs the Citizens Everyday Points® Rewards Program (the "Program"). By using the Everyday Points® Business Credit Card ("Card"), you agree to the terms and conditions governing the Program as set forth herein. In this Agreement, "you" and "your" mean the person(s) who applied for a Card with us, either individually or collectively. "We," "our," "us," and "Citizens " mean Citizens Bank, N.A., its subsidiaries and affiliates. If there is a conflict between any provisions of this Agreement and any provisions of any other agreement you may have with us, the provisions of this Agreement shall control as to those provisions.
New accounts can earn $325 in points in the first 90 days from account opening when they spend $5,000. $325 in rewards is based on 50,000 bonus points when you spend $5,000 in purchases in the first 90 days from account opening plus 3 points for every dollar spent, totaling 65,000 points. 1.5% thereafter is based upon 3 points for every dollar spent. Each point is worth .005 cents. Redemption values are equal to 1.5% back on spend. Gift cards and merchandise can vary slightly higher or lower than 1.5% based on shipping costs or special merchant offers that run from time to time. Meeting the $5,000 purchase threshold for bonus point eligibility varies based on account set-up. For “Business-Earn” accounts, the purchase threshold will be met by the aggregate spend of all cards under the company, and the bonus points will be applied to the business account. For “Cardholder Earn” accounts, each individual card under the master account that reaches the $5,000 purchase threshold is eligible for bonus points; these bonus points will be posted to the individual account(s). The spend requirement will not be based on consolidated spend on all accounts and each individual card under the account that qualifies can earn the 50,000 bonus points. 50,000 bonus points will be posted to your Everyday Points Business Mastercard statement within 2 billing cycles of your meeting the $5,000 purchase threshold, as detailed above.
You will earn three (3) Everyday Points® Rewards Points ("Rewards Points") for every $1 you spend on Eligible Purchases using your enrolled Card.
"Eligible Purchases" means the total purchases posted on your enrolled Card Account at a retail establishment using a Card for any lawful purchase to buy or lease goods or services, less any returns, refunds, credits, or adjustments that are not payments.
The following are NOT Eligible Purchases and therefore points are not awarded on them: finance charges, other account charges or fees, balance transfers, cash advances, cash advances designated as purchases, Automated Teller Machine (ATM) and bank teller withdrawals, wire transfers, the purchase of money orders, cashier's checks, traveler's checks, gift cards, or other negotiable instruments, foreign currency, wager or lottery tickets, casino gaming chips, payments of loans, or similar cash equivalent (quasi-cash) transactions, life insurance and payment protection plan charges, and unauthorized transactions.
In our sole discretion, we may deduct Rewards Points from your Card Account in order to make adjustments for returns and cancellations with respect to Eligible Purchases.
One card accounts will automatically be set up as cardholder earn. For new accounts with multiple cards requested at application, the Business must elect either the Business-Earn Rewards option or the Cardholder-Earn Rewards option:
To redeem your Rewards Points, logon to https://www.citizensbankeverydaypoints.com or call 1-888-333-7834, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) Monday - Friday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) Saturday & Sunday. All rewards are subject to availability. We may change rewards and point levels at our sole discretion. Rewards Points must be redeemed within thirty–six (36) months after the month in which the Rewards Points were awarded to your Account. If not redeemed, they will be canceled and removed from your Account. We reserve the right to correct misstated Rewards Points represented on statements or the website at our sole discretion.
Your Account must be open and in good standing and Rewards Points must be posted to and reflected on a current account statement in order to be redeemed. You agree that any authorized signer on your enrolled account can redeem accumulated points. When you redeem Everyday Points for airline tickets, merchandise or services, you will be directed to a third party website for booking and fulfillment. This third party website is governed by, among other things, the Travel Terms and Conditions, and Website Terms of Use. Citizens accepts no responsibility for the accuracy of the information provided in these third party materials. You may have to pay a third party a fulfillment fee for arranging for you to receive your airline tickets, merchandise or services. When you redeem by telephone or online, you will be advised whether you must pay a fulfillment fee and, if so, the amount of the fee.
You may use Rewards Points to obtain merchandise that we make available in the Program (the "Merchandise Rewards") and gift cards at participating retailers (the "Gift Card Rewards"). We may change the merchandise selection or gift cards from time to time without prior notice to you. If particular Merchandise is no longer available or is out of stock, we may offer a substitute product of equal or greater value. You must return damaged or defective merchandise to the Merchant or manufacturer according to the Merchant's instructions. There are no returns, exchanges, or refunds for any Merchandise Rewards directly from Citizens.
The manufacturer's warranty, if any, is the only warranty covering Merchandise Rewards. We make no guarantees, warranties or representations of any kind, expressed or implied, with respect to the Merchandise Rewards or the goods or services offered by any participating Merchant of a Gift Card Reward.
Gift Card Rewards will not be personalized and are transferable to any person. They are not exchangeable, refundable, re-loadable, or redeemable for cash; and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Mechanical reproductions, copies, or facsimiles will not be accepted. Additional terms and conditions appearing on the Gift Card or otherwise imposed by the Merchant or retailer may also apply.
Only accounts and cards in good standing are eligible for participation in the Program. We determine whether your account is in good standing based on several factors, including but not limited to, overdraft history, payment history with us, and adherence to your Cardholder Agreement and the Terms and Conditions of the Program.
Except as provided in the following sentence, if you voluntarily close the Card or we close the Card (for any reason permitted by the Cardholder Agreement except for fraud or misuse), you will have 90 days to redeem any remaining Reward Points on the Card before all Reward Points are irrevocably forfeited. If we close the Card and determine in our sole and absolute discretion that you are using the Card for fraudulent purposes or that you are abusing or misusing the reward point system, all Reward Points will be immediately and irrevocably forfeited.
We reserve the right to disqualify any cardholder from participating in the Program and to invalidate all Rewards Points for abuse, fraud or any violation of the Program terms and conditions, at our sole discretion.
Pay with Points is a redemption option that allows you to pay for past purchases on your participating credit card using accumulated Everyday Points through the Mastercard Redemption Website at https://www.citizensbankeverydaypoints.com. Rewards Points can be applied to past Eligible Purchases. The Rewards Points conversion for Pay with Points is 1.5% of the purchase amount. Rewards Points redeemed will be shown as a statement credit with description of “Citizens Pay w/Points” on the date that the redemption is initiated by you. Only Reward Points earned on Eligible Purchases can be used for Pay with Points.

Rewards Points are not your property and have no cash or other value unless they are redeemed for rewards. Rewards Points are not transferable and cannot be bought, sold, or used as payment on your account. Unless specifically authorized by us, Rewards Points may not be combined with other discounts, special rates, promotions or other reward programs offered by us. Your exclusive remedy for earned but uncredited Rewards Points shall be the issuance of the uncredited Rewards Points, if available, or such other comparable benefit as determined by us. If, however, your Card account is closed, then such Rewards Points or other comparable benefit shall be forfeited.
Suppliers of Rewards are independent contractors and are not our agents. We do not offer, endorse or guarantee any of the goods or services provided as part of the Rewards. We do not warrant the quality, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose of any merchandise or service you purchase with your Rewards Points. You must address any concern or complaint directly with the Merchant and agree that we are not responsible in any way for such purchases. You hereby agree to release, discharge, and hold harmless Citizens, third party reward providers, and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, employees, officers, directors, successors and assigns from all claims, damages or liability including but not limited to physical injury or death, arising out of participation in the Program. Further, you release us from any and all liability for any loss, expense, accident, injury or inconvenience that may arise in connection with the use or defect of any Reward or your participation in the Program.
Rewards Points may constitute taxable income. You may be issued an Internal Revenue Service Form 1099 (or other appropriate form) that reflects the value of the Rewards Points.
The cardholder is responsible for any personal tax liability related to participation in the Program or as a result of Rewards Points earned and/or redeemed. We do not offer tax advice. Please contact a tax advisor for individual circumstances.
We may rely on your oral and electronic instructions. In addition, you consent to the monitoring and recording of your telephone conversations with us for training or compliance purposes or to provide a record of your instructions. You agree that we will not be liable for honoring oral instructions received from any person claiming to be you, provided normal verification procedures have been followed. We may follow any instructions received by electronic means through the Everyday Points® Rewards website just as if you had given such instructions in person, regardless of whether or not you have personally initiated such instructions. You consent to the receipt of all reports, transaction confirmations, account statements, correspondence and other information from us electronically through either (i) access to your enrolled account on the Everyday Points® Rewards website or (ii) the email address provided by you to us. We will not be responsible for your inability to connect to the Internet or to access the website or otherwise not to receive electronic communications. Electronic communications are presumed to be delivered to and received by you when sent by us, whether actually received or not. You acknowledge that you have access to hardware and software meeting the system requirements set forth on the Citizens Everyday Points® Rewards website necessary to receive from us correspondence and records in electronic form.
We may, at any time, add to, amend or change any of the terms, conditions or restrictions of the Program. The Program may be changed or discontinued but points awarded before the Program is changed or discontinued will be honored for a limited period of time for merchandise and services offered in the Everyday Points® Rewards Catalog at the levels of points before the Program was changed or discontinued, as applicable. We reserve the right to forfeit and cancel any Rewards Points which are not redeemed within 90 days after notice of cancellation of the Program is given.
You agree to release Citizens and any of its affiliates from all liability, including:
We may assign our rights and obligations under this agreement to a third party, who will then be entitled to any of our rights that we assign to them.
This Agreement and the Program will be governed by and construed as set forth in your Cardholder Agreement. The Citizens Everyday Points® Rewards Program is void where prohibited by federal, state, or local law.
All Rewards Points are subject to verification and confirmation by us. All decisions regarding rewards disputes shall be final. Discrepancies about Rewards Points are not treated as credit card billing error disputes.
