We support opportunities that have a significant community impact.

Citizens supports opportunities where our funding can have a significant and measurable community impact.

Citizens invests in nonprofits creating measurable impact through innovative programs. Our philanthropic priorities are Workforce Development and Financial Empowerment. At Citizens, we strive to collaborate closely with high-impact nonprofit organizations and build strong partnerships that include opportunities for colleague volunteerism and joint storytelling.

Grant requests should demonstrate funding priority alignment and impact and should highlight opportunities to showcase the proposed partnership through collaboration and colleague engagement.

We are prioritize allocating our grant funding in support of programs and are not currently accepting requests for sponsorships.

Foundation Grants

Citizens operates two Foundations—the Citizens Charitable Foundation and the Citizens Philanthropic Foundation. These foundations provide support to 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations that focus on financial empowerment and workforce development.

Application Process

Citizens currently accepts applications for funding for corporate grant support and the Citizens Philanthropic Foundation support.

Citizens Grants - All grant applicants must complete an eligibility quiz. The eligibility quiz is designed to provide insight into whether your organization or program is closely aligned with our focus areas of Financial Empowerment and Workforce Development. Meeting our eligibility criteria does not guarantee you will receive funding, as we receive many requests for funding. The application is viewable if you advance beyond the eligibility quiz.

Citizens Philanthropic Foundation Grants - Organizations seeking funding from the Citizens Philanthropic Foundation must submit a preliminary application. At this time the CPF focuses the majority of its giving in the Metro New York and New Jersey areas. All applications will be reviewed and those that are most closely aligned with our goals will advance to the next stage of the application process.

We prioritize allocating our grant funding in support of programs and are not currently accepting requests for sponsorships.
