Donald H. McCree is Chair of Commercial Banking at Citizens Financial Group, Inc.
Over his 10 years at Citizens, McCree has led the development and execution of many of the bank’s most critical growth initiatives, including the acquisitions of several M&A boutiques and JMP, a West Coast-based investment bank, the expansion of our coverage team into key industry verticals, 50% growth in our client base, and full buildout of our capital markets capabilities. Under his leadership, we’ve built one of the best-positioned Commercial Banks — one with the scale to compete with larger institutions while also delivering personalized advice, solutions and service to clients at every stage of their business life cycle.
Prior to Citizens, McCree held a number of senior leadership roles at JPMorgan Chase over 31 years, including Co-Head of Corporate and Investment Banking; CEO of Global Treasury Services; Global Head of Credit Origination, Sales, Trading & Research; Chief Credit Officer; and Head of Wholesale Risk Management.
Active in the community, McCree serves on several boards. A graduate of the University of Vermont, he is Vice Chair of the UVM Board of Trustees and sits on the UVM Foundation Board of Directors. He is also a Trustee of the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia. He and his wife have three grown children.
